Description:
Castor Seed meal is Nitrogen rich fertilizer with typical NPK ratio at 4-1-1. Castor seed meal can be used when you want to maintain the pH of the soil. This is a dense source of Nitrogen and can supply 12 times more nitrogen as compared to Cow dung of similar quantity. Good source of food for soil bacteria, Earth worms, etc. Castor seed meal can be combined with other fertilizers to make a custom mix.

This product tends to acidify soil to some extent. This is a good source of Nitrogen and 1 Kg is equivalent to 12 Kgs of cow manure. Good source of food for soil bacteria, Earth worms, etc. Castor seed meal can be combined with other fertilizers to make a custom mix. Can be used for established lawns. Castor seed meal has been observed to be useful against Terminates and harmful nematodes. Hence, Castor seed meal is a very useful 2 in 1 soil additive that acts as both fertilizer and natural pest repellent. It is worthwhile to note that Castor seed meal is also a source of Calcium, Magnesium, Sulphur, Zinc, Iron and Copper for plants.  It is also a soil amendment and is known to soften hard soils.

Form: This product is in powdered form for easy broadcasting and application.

Dosage:
One cup (approx. 25-30 grams) every 12 inches of pot diameter. Application is however plant dependent but as thumb rule application can be safely done every 45 days (However user judgement is requested). If the plant is larger, quantity can be increased (suggested increment in quantity is 1/2 cup for every 1-foot increase in diameter of pot or height of the plant). Dosage of the fertilizer can be increased depending upon the plants requirement, soil condition and climate.

Application:
Dig a trench around 2-3 inches deep all around the plant leaving 3 inches from the plant trunk (refer picture). Uniformly spread the fertilizer (it is recommended to start with 25 grams of the fertilizer) in the trench and then cover the trench with soil. Water the plant till some water comes out from the bottom of pot. refer following pictures for clarity.

  1. Slaughter house waste like blood meal, bone meal, hoof meal etc.
  2. Sewage waste Sewage sludge, biosolids
  3. Meat processing waste Fish meal, meat compost, hair meal, feather meal
  4. Synthetic chemicals like Urea, DAP, Ammonium Nitrate, Super Phosphate, Double Phosphate etc.
